REPORT OF ACHIEVEMENT OF DARUL QURAN AL ZEHRA
July 20, 2011 – 18 Shaban 1432
 
100 Sewing Machines have been distributed until now. It is Great Achievement for Kashmiri Women.

 

Assalamun alykum
Darul Quran Al Zahra is a Muslim Organization, to be run as per the teaching of Imam Jaffar Sadiq (A.S). Darul Quran Al Zahra is an institution established in Jammu & Kashmir Particularly in Srinagar District’s down town area to impart Islamic Knowledge & Craft Work to Muslim women. The main focus of institution is to impart (Islamic Knowledge) i.e. Quran teachings & Hadis etc to all Muslim women young or adult. And vocational training like cutting tailoring Embroidery, tilla work, computer training is also included. To Fight Poverty.
Presently, the institution (maktab) remain open throughout the year even in this difficult situation in Kashmir where; curfew, protest and Indian Army Occupation with more than 50,000 troops. In every one km there is a checkpoint. In this some women requested Darul Quran al Zahra to arrange for transportation to take advantage of the Darul Quran al Zahra.  The ladies volunteer collect funds locally to pay for the transportation. Alhamdo Lillah, many have shown the interest and everyday more and more come for registration.
The school is galloping at a very good speed. The number of students has increased, and is increasing day by day due to progress of school in all aspect, the main progress was because of celebration on 20th Jamadi-us-Sani which became popular throughout the area   and which motivated the student to take admission.
CONFRENCE OF JASHN-E-IMAM-E-ZAMANA(AJT) – 15th Shaban 1432
By the will of almighty Allah (swt) who provided us the opportunity to celebrate the conference of the present Imam(as). The conference was held at Darul Quran Al Zahra, Srinagar on 17th July, 2011. 200 Women and Girls from different area of Kashmir attended. There were many speakers who spoke about Imam Mahdi a.j.f.j and the responsibility of Muslim Ummah during the absence of Imam Mahdi a.j.f.j.
The jashn started after the congegration  of namaz-e-zuhrain in darul quran-al-zehra (as).The opening of jashn started with tilawat-e-quran and followed by dua-e-sadarat in this jashn we invited everybody from institute  and from outside of the institute. The positive point in this jashn was that the ahl-e-sunnah were also present there .we also invited two lady scholars,who spoke on the celebration on the life history of imam zamana (aj) the student from ahl-e-sunnah also recited the naat on this day. The celebration was also accompanied with the distribution of 30 swing machine among the poor people. Among the 30 machines 3 of them were given to ahl-e-sunnah people due to this they praised for the good work done by institute.
The celebration provided us the platform  for the recruitment of the student from the ahl-e-sunnah community . The celebration also became a good way for the people from ahl-e-sunnah to know about the life history of 12th imam (as). 
      Women Development Project
     30 Sewing Machine were given to the Needy Applicants.
We received 60 applications for the Sewing machines but we could only give to the half of the applicants as the money we received from Canada was for 30 Sewing Machines. At the Jashn of Imam Mahdi ajfj, on 17th July 2011, we distributed 30 Sewing Machines to the Needy applicants.
 
Among the 30 machines 3 of them were given to ahl-e-sunnah people due to this they praised for the good work done by institute.
All the people those who received the Sewing Machine appreciate this scheme and thank all those who have sponsored. The community of Kashmir women have really thank for our this scheme and they pray to continue every month that benefits many Needy Kashmiri Women.

JASHNI FATIMA ZEHRA (AS);-
The JASHN was celebrated on 27th may 2011 Friday where about 300 people percolated with pomp & show at darul quran,this celebration brought bout great publicity of darul quran which  helped in admission of many people ,the posters ,banners, etc were pasted on walls in different areas,personal invitation were to different lady scholars & they participated in function.
The students of darul quran participated with full life in JASHN, they delivered speechs ,naat,etc as were ready for it already . gifts were distributed in quiz section it was announced that if there was any lady from outside to deliver speech for five minutes about life history of Hazrat Bibi Fatima {a.s] &two ladies delivered. The  celebration was hosted by Miss Anisa with good ability &knowledge, the JASHN lasted throughout  the day. The first stage started at 10am to 12:30- pm ,after it there was break for namaz &b lunch .the second stage started at 2pm to 5:30pm in this stage quiz was held & gifts were given to winners on quiz and also 63 swing machines were distributed.
In the celebration about 300 women took part, which were provided with healthy refreshment. About 63 machines were distributed among the needy and poor people, who praised  to Darul-Quran-al Zehra for their good  step towards humanity, as it provide the way for their income  they were infect knowing the art of cutting and tailoring but had no machinery support . they sad  that the swing machines provided very useful help at such miserable time , the gifts were distributed during quiz session.
Our Regular Activities
The class rooms are now furnished well and chairs are made available for both students and teachers to carry their work comfortably, the teachers have their personal teaching desk.

The no of students have increased to 25 in tailoring classes in no, initially the duration of classes of 1hr now it has increased to 2hrs, in tailoring classes we provide the knowledge about fashion designing as well as traditional tailoring , in such classes various items were stitched, which were presented in the exhibition session of celebration of 20th jamadi-us-sani .
 
In literate classes miss anisa madam teaches them quran,ahkam,tajweed,sirate ahlebayt,Arabic ,Persian and  in illiterate classes Miss Sameena  teach quran ,urdu,English,Diniyat  ,  surahs & tajweed ,now the knowledge of such illiterate students have increased to great extent and shahina madam works as accountant in the office .
The program of Thursday has been changed to Sunday because many working lady’s are only free on Sundays .These days we don’t have computer classes because the computer teacher has resigned from the darul-quran, now we are looking for good and suitable teacher,  there are about more than 30 students in total  getting  knowledge in all subjects .
 
Picnic Outing -  Islamiat and Entertainment
Board of Directors, Volunteers and Teachers organized Picnic Islamiat and Entertainment at Kokookarnagh, and AthBal. The attendants were students, teachers, community volunteers, community leaders and neighbors. All participants shared the cost of transportation of Rs.100 each. It was very interesting trip.

Women development scheme.
Alhamdo Lillah, until now we distributed 100 sewing Machines to the Needy applicants. Since this project has been appreciated by many community members and Needy Women, it has been so popular amongst the Kashmiri Women. The in charge of this scheme is Shahina Sarwar, many people submitted the forms for this scheme, still there are pending applications which could not give them sewing machines. Under which about 63 sewing machines were distributed on the eve of JASHN FATIMA ZEHRA  AS  And 30 on 15 the Shaban, and 7 in October 2010. The women who got the machines are asked to repay monthly rs100 until the cost of sewing machine is paid. But there are curtain people who are unable to pay this amount, so they are exempted to from paying Rs.100 every month. The women were specially benefited by this scheme as they knew the art of cutting & tailoring  but had no machinery assistance, due to this scheme they continues the this art which helped there income to run their home, such people said about the darul quran that it is only the institution which helped them with such assistance , such help made darul quran famous we  received many forms for it, the some  widow women  with such help started their separate work to assist their family ,before it they worked in sharing ,know they are now independent.
 
The amount  which is collected as  monthly  installment from women who took swing machine is deposited in separate A/a no.13812 with present amount rs8313, on the name of women development scheme, for such a/c there are two signatory namly,  A, Samina banoo     B, ShaheenaSarwer.
Urgent Need
Because of the interruption of Electricity we need One Generator for our Madressah immediately.
Also 4 more computers for computer class, since with 2 computers we cannot run the class efficiently.
